Even if you like non-Clark Byrd style like “Mr. Spaceman,” (which the young me enjoyed in tone and spirit) I recommend taking a listen.

After I posted my complaint about the lack of great records so far this year I remembered this one. I like it a lot.

Of the recommendations, so far:

I’m interested in the new Nothing People, I loved the last one. I Have The Feeling Of Love and like it, but don’t love it. In some places it’s Jon Spencer-isms kinda turn me off…still it’s a good one for sure. I’ve heard the new Eddy Current and I think it’s just alright (I burned out on Primary Colours) and what I’ve heard from Deaf Wish isn’t really my thing.

Strange Boys have never really captured my interest, afraid of the potential for Black Lips-style frat/garage, but I’ll check the new one.
